This display is a great portable option. The built-in battery helps keep the display at full brightness even on the rare occasions when I don't get enough power via USB-C, so I never had to plug it in. I mainly use it for office work and for its excellent resolution, color reproduction, brightness, etc. There is also no backlight around the edges of the display. The built-in speaker is about the same size as a typical laptop speaker, so I don't see the point in using it for audio. The first use was very uncomfortable. It took about fifteen minutes before I could connect it. I believe the battery needs to be charged and the instructions were unclear. If you connect a cable to a display's USB-C port that's marked as powered, it shows up in Windows as a connected display, but doesn't receive the display's signal. However, it is charged/powered via the USC-C display port. I highly recommend purchasing an optional portable tripod. (It came with the model I bought.) The flip top that came with it is completely useless as a stand. The magnets are too weak so it falls fairly easily and the viewing angle is far from ideal. Unfortunately, the maximum height of the stand is too low to fit the display above my 17" laptop's display, but it's still solid and very portable and easy to use.
