I had bought a competitor's leather cover like this and compared against this item. This seller makes beautiful leather products, and true to my expectation, the leather on this one was much more beautiful. It also had more realistic dimensions -- the cover was bigger than A5, so it actually was able to hold an A5 notebook inside. That said, I still returned it because it could not fit my A5 notebook due to how shallow the spine is. It accommodates only a very thin notebook - otherwise the cover does not come close to closing at all because of the stiffness created by the layers of pockets.I imagine this will reach a bigger market when it's able to hold a thicker journal and adds a horizontal strap across the top to hold a notepad if desired instead of only typical notebooks. I can't imagine many people using journal covers to hold so many credit cards or stuffing their balled-up earwires into, so a better use of the pocket material would be to create sleeves that hold more pens and sheets of paper instead of having so many card slots.
