Rugged, Minimalist Design

The Echogear Wall Surge Protector is a very useful adapter with a minimalist design. and with its rotating plugs, it is so useful for any type of plug and also when the socket is in a tight space behind furniture. A NOTICE. Although the sockets swivel, you can only plug them in when the socket is facing forward or to the side. Remember that the outlet will be flush with the top of the wall plate (if installed in an overhead outlet) BUT hangs below the wall. plate about 2 inches. This can be a problem when installed in a kitchen outlet where a countertop or backsplash may get in the way. (The wall plates are about 4 inches high and this adapter is 6 inches). Of course it hangs lower when mounted on the bottom outlet, but this also gives you access to the top outlet. πŸ”Έ There is a small lip on the top front of the adapter to hold what looks like a charging phone. πŸ”Έ When mounting to a top outlet, the adapter screws into the wall plate making the adapter very secure. There's also a small plastic plug covering the screw hole, which is a nice touch. I originally used the Echogear in a different outlet and found that the outlet was NOT grounded even though it's a 3-prong outlet. I plugged the Echogear into a different outlet that shows as grounded and am using an extender until the outlet is repaired. See photos. So thanks to Echogear for that info lol. Can't comment on the surge protection features or durability as I've only had it for a few weeks. But currently it works well and works great in the limited space I need it for. I will be buying a few more of these Echogear adapters. It's been a good buy so far.
