This was my first purchase of an ice cream maker. The instructions were simple enough, it wasn't difficult to prepare the ice cream base, chill it and make sure the freezer bowl was frozen. It's disappointing that the instructions clearly state the machine should run 20-30 minutes and this thing couldn't run 12. It was quite noisy so it was noticeable when it stopped before the timer I set. It wouldn't turn on and the motor was hot so I figured it was overheating and giving it time to cool down. Place the freezer bowl with the mixture back in the freezer for those few minutes. After getting it working again I tried again and again it only took about 12 minutes. Repeated the chilling process and let it run for a few more minutes to finish my ice cream. My taste was good as I used my own recipe, but it was sad that so much effort had to be put into the actual whipping process. It's packed, ready to return to Revain, and the ice maker I've opted for instead will be arriving in a few days.
