I ordered this to keep my "essentials" within reach on the passenger floor and nested within the console. It's convenient to have things on hand that don't fit in my car's built-in storage compartments: a "cube" of tissues, a microfiber cloth for wiping displays, a sun visor, a compact umbrella, a bulky sunglass case, etc. But what's really ok, this is for storing my small dog's travel gear: bags, leashes, small water bowl, water bottle, etc. It's narrow enough to fit the passenger's legs but long enough to accommodate everyday items. and quite flexible. Follow the slope of the passenger floor. I added a lining for the holding shelf and it stays in place.
