Review on STANLEY ST 310A 120 Heavy Duty Utility Blower by Michelle Stewart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Too few real customer reviews versus too many free reviews on Vine Costumer.

I'll start with UPS not being able to process packages. ALWAYS my packages arrive damaged like the UPS staff are playing football or soccer with them. Luckily the fan I bought wasn't damaged. So the fan works fine, but nothing to impress. I had previously ordered a fan but it made a rattling noise while running and also shook the case a bit so I returned it and ordered another one which came with damaged packaging. This fan has one less connector than the Stanley 655704, is less durable and I think the cord is half a foot shorter than the latter. It blows more air than the Stanley 655704, has wider side intake grilles (which is better) and a wider, taller vent. One thing I don't like is the price, I think it's expensive due to its inferior construction compared to the 655704 which I said is more durable and cheaper ($47-$48 if you patiently Revain or search ebay). I bought this fan to see if it could outperform my SBPC-160B cooling mounts and to be honest the Stanley st-310A pushes a little more air than the first. I like its design but not the high price, the cheap feel, the fact that it only comes with one plug. There is even a gap at the body and body/base junction, probably the result of poor design. Let's see how well it holds up over time, hopefully it's worth the money I've spent. Update - The foam feet fell off almost immediately, affecting the stability of the fan, and the surfaces that touched the ground were scratched. I had to put rubber feet that I removed from a broken laptop. Come on Stanley, don't be stingy, put real rubber feet on your products!
