I bought one of these a year ago. The first one I ordered stopped working after a day. With Prime I sent it back for free and replaced it with another one. The replacement has been working flawlessly for over a year now. In order to take additional video recordings in 2 different locations, I recently ordered 2 more, one of which was bad. sent it back to Revain, got a replacement that works great. While you can get a bad one. It's worth the hassle of sending it back for an exchange. The 1920 x 1280 resolution is basic; and a highly visible green/red light indicating standby or recording status. The recorded audio is recorded a little quietly, so I set the software to normalize the audio level while I process the recorded video. When recording a longer video, the device splits the recorded video into 2GB files. With the included software, you can merge, trim, etc. files. It's a simple device that gets the job done and is very easy to use. I ordered a similar device a year ago and sent it back because it had too many bells and whistles. which makes it difficult to understand/use and really unnecessary as everything it can do could be done better with video editing software. As I have 3 of these it goes without saying I bloody love them and this is one of my favorite items I've ordered from Revain.
