Attention, the "loop " for the pen is not in the middle, but with a cup
This is a cheap cast for three reasons. 1) The hinge part of the hinge is modified so that the hole is not centered. When used for light, small, primitive garden gates, it's fine, but sloppy. My set of National Hardware N131-169 295 zinc plated screw/eye hinges 2 pack was poor quality and off center. 2) The casting is hollow, which can lead to rapid wear and uneven weight distribution. 3) The wall thickness of the castings varies as you can see in the photos.
