I had a horse with a white mane and tail and I've never forgotten how shiny it made the hair - it looked like thin pieces of silver tinsel was woven into his hair. I get a platinum treatment (to cover the gray in my hair) and it makes my hair very shiny and soft. Dying all of your hair will take some of the color out, but I've only dyed the roots for years. UPDATE: The last bottle leaked all over the inside of the box it was shipped in; the lid was not screwed tight. There were other items in the box but nothing was damaged - just needed a wash.
