My friends and I go on a big hike once a year and our most recent trip was to Zion National Park to explore Angel's Wharf and Narrows. Narrow is walking on water and the water is cold. I bought these to wear in my water boots to keep my feet warm and they were perfect! I wear size 8.5 women's shoes and ordered a small size for these socks and they fit me. They were comfortable and snug but not too tight and nice and thick. Feet were warm all the time! As some people seem confused, these are NOT waterproof socks (but they exist)! This sock is designed to keep your feet warm like a wetsuit warms your body in the sea. I'm also an experienced diver and will probably wear them under my fins on really cold dives. I definitely recommend them for water trips! Hope that helps.
