Review on ⚙️ Enhanced Hansing Softening System by Chad Rosier

The water quality in our small area has steadily deteriorated over the past 30 years. I knew I had to do something when the leaves of every plant had a heavy build up of calcium and god knows what and the trees were looking a little sad. Even my cheap EC meter said the faucet was out of order. Instead of throwing myself headlong into a complete 2-3k water filter and softening system, as is now common here, I opted for this three-stage Hansing filter canister with an upstream spin-on filter. After a few weeks of installation we are delighted. The device itself appears to be made entirely of stainless steel and has a good weight and feel. The filter head easily attaches/detaches to the canister and they bolt tight and tight. The inlet/outlet ports on the filter head are cleanly threaded and easily accept standard taped fittings. Water pressure is approximately 75-85psi based on our check valve. Faucets, showers and hoses in a household still have the same performance as before as long as only one of them is used at a time. At the same pressure with which the water gets into the filters, the simultaneous showering and washing cycle leads to a noticeable drop in performance. Not a problem for two people, but a problem for a large family. For the price and ease of installation, this was a great solution to our water problems. While we still use reverse osmosis filtration for drinking and cooking, our tap water actually cleans us when we shower and is now technically potable. The garden is happy again and the grass is as green as the other side.
