Review on Enhanced SEO: Goal Zero Nomad 5 Solar Panel - in a single color by Chris Burks

Update below - Great little panel. Works well in just 5 weeks

I love this little panel. This works pretty well. Haven't gone camping with it yet, but did a little test to make sure it works. I just plugged my phone into it and left it out for about 2 minutes. In 2 minutes it charged my 2020 iPhone SE (the smallest battery Apple offers) from 28% to 31%, so it definitely works. However, I wouldn't recommend using it as a direct charger for your phone, as I did for a quick test. Connect the power bank to it and use it to charge your phone as the panel may stop working if there is not enough charge. The constant turning on and off that sometimes happens, especially on overcast or overcast days, can really drain your phone's battery if it keeps switching between charging and turning off. This is said to be great for hiking and, in combination with the Flip 12 battery, a good all-round emergency power source. This panel is about the same size as an iPad. I would love it if they released a device the size of an iPad mini and even more portable. And if like their Nomad10 it was folded into a 5W panel only in miniature, it would be very good.! To update! : Well I've had it for a few months now, I haven't even been able to take it on a hike yet, I've only tested it while charging my phone and a small Flip 12 power bank. Never gotten wet, never dropped, and today I suddenly start hearing a faint arcing noise. I understand the panel. The optimizer inside the panel now emits a humming noise that gets louder depending on how much sun falls on the panel. Of course that can't be a good thing. It still seems to charge my phone, but the constant arcing noise makes me think this thing is going to fail pretty soon…. And I haven't even started the journey yet, shit.
