This power supply does what it's designed to do. Increase the number of sockets in a double socket. It works well and is well built. It will fit into a standard socket as shown, but will not fit into a decorative socket and has never been sold for anything other than a standard socket. The duplex outlet protrudes approximately 1/4 inch from the wall and is covered by a standard two-post wallplate cover. This power supply replaces the wall plate cover. Please note that connections to the adapter must not exceed the circuit breaker (AMP) rating. 14 gauge wire rated at 15 amps and 12 gauge wire rated at 20 amps. love this product! It even has a built in circuit breaker for protection.
