I can understand the rave reviews for these gloves. I was skeptical at first as I had never heard of this brand before. However, these things are the real deal. These gloves are lightweight and ideal for small to medium hands (Asian hand). When it hits, a large number of indentations are formed. This forces my trainer or girlfriend to work many rounds with me to avoid minimal discomfort. It also means I don't have to hold myself back as much when a girl does it for me. Although there's a bit of padding, there's still good rebound from those bad boy punches. When you first see the gauntlets they seem heavy, but strangely they feel like an extension of your hand, floating effortlessly in the air. The only negative I can see is that people with big hands might feel uncomfortable until they break them. Otherwise there is no need for a break. These things were worth every penny and lasted a month of consistent training. I see these long years.
