Review on Waterproof And Stain-Resistant RESILIA Shelf Liners For Garage Wire Shelving - Heavy Duty, Washable Clear Vinyl Rolls, 20"X 25Ft by Scott Pentapati

Big roll, many uses.

I got the big roll. If you plan on lining shelves, you will probably want the length. The roll itself was pretty heavy feeling. It is a thin liner, so keep that in mind. It is sold as a shelf liner, and for that I believe it will be fine (wire shelves). I wasn't as fond of the texture, it has kind of a fake leather type texture to it. It wouldn't be too bad, but it is kinda semi-gloss and reflective, and I didn't like that very much. Although it has texture to it, it is not spongy at all; I'd still call it slick. I've tried different material to line tool chests, and I was hoping this was going to work well. Because of its texture, I probably won't use it in my tool chest, as I've found other material that is matte in color and less smooth, so the tools don't roll around or move when you open and close the drawers. If you used this material, I imagine screwdrivers and things would roll around on top of it.I used a first bit of it to line an expanded metal bottom trailer hitch cargo carrier. It seems to work well for this purpose. I don't know how much dirt may be kicked up out the back, but I anticipate this liner will help to prevent any dirt getting kicked up behind my vehicle and on cargo through the cheese grater expanded metal floor that comes with the cargo carrier. There's no doubt this material is durable, if you put it on the floor for something, I anticipate it would last a very long time under foot traffic. There are many uses for what this is, your imagination is the limit. I would prefer a different texture if I could go back, but it does feel like a quality liner. Oh, and it does smell pretty terrible. Not sure how long that will last.

Pros
  • With the added protection of these liners, you'll have peace of mind knowing that your stored items are safe and secure
Cons
  • Can be a hassle to store if not rolled up and protected properly
