Purchased first Dyson silent fan AM01 in 2014. Worked quietly for more than 2 years and then it first started to make a quiet noise but then it got higher like a coffee grinder at night. I was considering replacing it this year with a new AM06, supposedly quieter, bought August 2019. After 2 months it's making the same grinding noise and has the same habit of making a coffee grinder sound late at night. One might wonder why this very expensive fan performs the way it does when almost every other test claims quiet operation. Could it be lemon both times? We're sad that there is so much obvious tech in there that seems poorly put together, resulting in the high-speed, high-tech, high-tech parts not working properly or being as quiet as intended. This means you are not entitled to Dyson's manufacturer's warranty as they are not a valid reseller of a Dyson product. We discovered this after filing a warranty claim with Dyson. The Dyson support team have advised that this reseller is not affiliated with Dyson and therefore any Dyson products purchased through them are not covered by the Dyson manufacturer's warranty. We have informed Revain of this invalid reseller situation and are awaiting their response to this fraudulent selling situation. There is no excuse for this misrepresentation in the Revain seller's market. We need to be able to trust the traders used by Revain. Unfortunately, this is not the case in this case.
