B&M Shift Improver - Big Improvement

I installed the B&M Shift Improver on my 1994 Chevy K1500 pickup just over a week ago. My gearbox is 4L60E. Installing the device was relatively easy. I removed the inside of the glove box to get to the truck's computer, pulled out a couple of clips holding it in place and connected it to the 2 wires listed in the simple instructions. I soldered this connection and did not use the plastic clips that came with the kit. The kit also included 2 cable ties which made it easier to route cables under the dash. The whole procedure took about an hour at a leisurely pace. 1st to 2nd shifting is now solid, shifting in both 'heavy' and 'road/track' is solid, but shifting 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th place wasn't that dramatic. Although there is a nice improvement in the transmission's ability to hold or grab the full range. I paid a little over $30 and am very happy with the Shift Improver for the money spent, but I'd like tighter 2-3 and 3-4 shifting, so I'm going to add a Corvette servo to help with that. I could have just used an aftermarket servo and gotten what I wanted without being able to control shifting from the cockpit with a simple push of a button. As soon as I put a servo in I lose that comfort and I don't know how it will work with the B&M Shift Improver. I think I'll find out once a new servo comes out. Overall, for $30 and an hour of easy work, I give the B&M Shift Improver 2 thumbs up and 4 stars out of 5.
