It's just not what I expected

It's not that it's a bad product, it's just not what I expected and it takes a little more work than I expected. I've been to a pre-packaged cold brew (coffee in an airtight coffee filter that you just have to put in a pitcher of cold water and stand. No hassle. No mess). Since I drink a lot of iced coffee in the summer, I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative. When I first used a cold brew coffee maker, I used regular ground coffee. As a result, very thick coffee grounds and quite a lot of coffee grounds formed at the bottom of the container. Well it was my fault as the instructions clearly state that coarse coffee was used. So I put off writing a review until I could try it with a coarse grind. The sediment was much less, I think an acceptable amount, and there was very little coffee grounds. So, I would say if you decide to use this product, be sure to use a coarse grind. After making 3 batches of cold brew I decided it wasn't what I wanted for the following reasons: #1 - it actually cost MORE than the pre-packaged cold brew machine I bought. It takes about half a pound of coffee to make a cold drink (I didn't know that until I went to Coffee Panda). So for a pound of coffee I get 2 cold drinks. So if you buy a pound of coffee for $10, it's $5 per batch. Not bad EXCEPT the pre-packaged products I buy are only $7 for two batches. #2 - It's a lot more work than a pre-packaged cold brewer, and the work is a lot messier. Preparing a cold drink with Coffee Panda is really tedious and time-consuming compared to a pre-packaged product. After that, I just throw the bag in the water and wait. With Coffee Panda, I have to take the time to fill the filter halfway, slowly pour two cups of water through the filter, stir the coffee to make sure it's all wet, and fill the coffee filter completely. , and slowly stir the coffee grounds to make sure they are moist. The stirring is messy because when I gently pull the stirrer out, the coffee grounds scatter everywhere. When I used coarsely ground coffee and followed the directions, Coffee Panda made GREAT cold coffee. It's just not for me.
