Review on MSI Optix MAG342CQRV 3440X1440 Non-Glare Monitor: 100Hz, HDR, Curved, Adaptive Sync by John Easter

Here's what bothered me when buying an ultra wide monitor: Ghosting/Blur: I didn't notice anything while gaming. You can find some of these during the ghosting test, but I bought this monitor for gaming rather than testing. So just grab the super light 3070 and you're good to go. Brightness: low, but suitable for dark or moderately lit rooms. The specs say 250 nits and that's probably correct. Not sure why the description says "HDR Ready" when you can't load another 150 nits. Image quality: lags behind my previous IPS but still good after finding the right settings. There is an sRGB mode that I think is the best. And turn off image enhancement as it really makes things worse. I suspect the "image enhancement" must be some sort of translation issue. There is also no gamma option in the settings and I had to use nvidia software to adjust it to my liking. All in all a great buy as it has been on sale a few times and has brought the price down to budget brand levels. I'm pretty cheap so this hits the sweet spot for me.
