Review on Mountain Vibram πŸ‘ž Buckle Shoes Tommaso Vertice by Joshua Donnis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good shoes for the money

I've had these shoes for a month; Rode 100 miles with them, over 9 rides. I ride on paved trails and have Shimano SM-SH-51 spikes on them. This shoe replaces the 10 year old Pearl Izumi mountaineering shoe. The Pearl shoes were replaced when something broke in the sole and one shoe clicked when pedaling. I got Pearl shoes on sale and paid about $90 for them. Tommaso Montagna 200 men's mountain bike shoes retailed for $79. The mounting plate for attaching the spikes to the Pearl Boots is made of aluminum. The mounting plate for these boots is made of thick hard plastic. A pair of Pearl shoes weighs 974 grams, while a pair of Tommaso shoes weighs 820 grams. I have narrow feet and Tommaso's shoes are a bit wide. The Tommaso's tongue is about half the thickness of the Pearl's tongue. The soles of these shoes are stiff, which is good, and the straps are about the same thickness as the Pearls' straps. Overall I'm happy with the shoes and would buy them again if I didn't come across a great sale of Pearl Izumi mountain bike shoes. I hope these shoes last as long as the Pearl Izumi shoes.

Pros
  • mountain bike.
Cons
