They were very long and had many holes about half an inch apart so they could be easily adjusted to fit the dog. The bright orange collar is easily visible on my dark colored dogs. Very strong material, difficult to cut to size of dog. I marked the collar and then cut it with metal scissors. I like the buckle better than the roller buckle because it holds the free end of the collar better. I think the D-ring is a little light so if you trim the leash on a very strong dog that pulls hard you might have some issues but other than that you'll be fine. Plastic-coated nylon stays clean with just a wipe, and while a bit stiff, it's still flexible enough to be comfortable enough for the dog.
