4 stars for durability as this is my 3rd sportdog collar for my 3 year old dog. The part of the strap with holes will eventually break and the plastic will fall off. Otherwise, they match his invisible fence blower block perfectly.

These are not collars for sporting dogs! I bought 2 of these because I wanted the green one. If you look at the photo, the Sportdog blue collar has a square loop and the ones I have have a round loop +1. They didn't even have the Sportdog brand tag. My pet tease (no pun intended) was that these collars are more expensive than the real deal at $1.03 each. Just returned them.

They were very long and had many holes about half an inch apart so they could be easily adjusted to fit the dog. The bright orange collar is easily visible on my dark colored dogs. Very strong material, difficult to cut to size of dog. I marked the collar and then cut it with metal scissors. I like the buckle better than the roller buckle because it holds the free end of the collar better. I think the D-ring is a little light so if you trim the leash on a very strong dog that pulls hard you…

As mentioned in another review your collar may come without a D ring. You might not get the two-year warranty you expect, either. We have used the SportDog systems on our dogs in a large sanctuary and have been very happy with the products. I have just ordered 2 of these replacement collars, 1 red and 1 yellow. The yellow arrived as expected with buckle, D-ring and lanyard retaining ring. No problem. Red, sent separately, includes buckle and locking ring but no D-ring. As mentioned in a comment
