I decided to clean up my Pebble (RIP) a bit after my last watch strap broke. I got about 9 months of use for about $2 less. I expect what I pay for with cheaper tapes. My previous band didn't have any links, it was just a band with a strong Milanese style magnetic clasp, so I thought "links, curious!" Warning: scroll through all the pictures and read the reviews before buying, right?) and none Instructions. When I went back to read about the setup it all made sense. Except they say to use a hammer or "great force". Don't use a hammer. I did this and the pins bent and splintered even with a light tap. I ended up inserting one deep enough to hold the links on the clasp. About 1/3 of the pin is exposed, split and bent relative to the clasp itself. I'm not a watchmaker and don't fit watch bands often, so I guess it's my fault for not being ready to fit this $13 watch band. In any case, this will take as long as I need to recreate my previous group.
