Pretty good, subtle warmth

I've used this blanket about a dozen times in my office and to be honest I didn't like it at first but now I'm very happy with my purchase. I have heaters on my desk and didn't want to crawl across the floor to plug and unplug the electric blanket from the socket under my desk. I didn't want too much heat either because once I get warm I overheat quickly and I didn't want anything too big. The size of this blanket is perfect for your knees. The quality of the duvet itself is nice and soft and a decent thickness which only helps with warmth. I've had no issues with spilling, rolling, tearing, etc. It stores easily in my deep desk drawer. It plugs directly into my USB port on my computer, and I feel like the cable is long enough when you're sitting right in front of your computer. I feel like it takes about 10 minutes for the duvet to fully warm up and I've found the warmth stays in my lap. I wish the heating area was a little bigger, but for $20 and no further complaints, I can handle it. This blanket keeps me warm when it gets too cold in the office. It's just the amount of warmth I need - brings me back to a neutral temperature so I'm no longer cold, but I don't get hot either. I feel it doing its job more when I have to take it off my knees and get up from my chair and the cold air hits my legs. My point is that if you're looking for the instant tremendous warmth you get from an electric blanket, this probably isn't for you. It's much more subtle and relaxed. So far I'm very happy with it and I'm hoping for a certain durability. I would recommend it if you know what to expect and give it a try a few times.
