I put these air stones in my 45 gallon tank and they work great. They add a nice view to the aquarium and of course oxygen for any fish I plan to buy. I didn't use the check valves because I already had 2 that came with the air pump and I also didn't use the hose because it was a little thin and wide so I bought a separate one that fitted just right. Three way hook connectors came in handy, really helped a lot. I was able to hook up air picks to both air pump outlets and I was able to connect both air stones together to place one on each side of the tank. The suction cups came in handy too, they were a little difficult to put on at first but once they got stuck they stuck, they usually fall off but they don't, they stayed in place even when I added water. I've had my tank in continuous use for about 3-4 weeks, everything still works great. Nothing fell off, fell apart or stopped working.
