The only downside to this product is the Velcro that comes with it. It's not that cool and doesn't look like traditional Velcro. You get one side of the velcro and tape it to the dashboard itself, using the underside of the mat to tape it to the velcro. Two Velcro straps will not stick together. A few personal things to note: 1) I installed right away. I didn't give the creases of the mat out of the box time to try and smooth it out, which could be why the mat isn't sticking well to the velcro. But I doubt. It lies very flat straight out of the box. 2) I live in the hottest city in the US and set it up during the hottest part of the summer (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit), so that might be an issue as well. However, the only problem I see is that the bottom of the velcro just gets stickier without affecting the mat itself in any way. So maybe it's not a problem. 3) Although the top of the mat is very beautiful, black color, very soft material (sorry I don't remember what it's called now πππ ), the bottom is also very beautiful, gray color and still quite soft material, So you can flip it and install it upside down provided the mat and dash are completely symmetrical. I think so? Velcro would then be totally useless though as the nice soft material on the mat will never stick to the velcros you have attached to the dashboard. In general, you don't need to install Velcro if you don't want to. I don't see this rug slipping in and out very easily unless someone grabs it and rips it off. So that's pretty cool.
