Ok but the side clips will fit laptops up to 14.5 " wide NOT 16.5 "
Really good mount but my laptop is exactly 16.5" wide ( left to right) and does NOT fit the side clips Which is a shame as one of the pictures in the post says it fits laptops up to 16.5" wide (I would say it fits laptops with a width of up to 14.5 inches). Luckily the side clips are optional so I just left them out and it works fine. It seems fairly stable and secure, but without the side clips I'd recommend making sure the stand you're attaching the mount to doesn't slide off easily to avoid dropping the laptop.
