Since this is my first mechanic, I am unable to comment on whether it is of high or low quality; however, I must state that I enjoy everything, and I get a particular buzz from hearing new clicking sounds. Backlighting is typically considered to be its own distinct pleasure, and the software gives you the ability to experiment with it to whatever extent your imagination will allow. And two subjective benefits: 1) this is my first mechanic, but I easily adapted to it (after more than ten years on membranes), and 2) a nice clicking sound of the keys, although I am ready to acknowledge that if you are not alone, this can interfere with another person's ability to focus on what they are doing. Some cons: The supplied grip for the keys causes them to become somewhat scratched, and in addition to clicking, certain keys produce the sound of a metal spring. These are, however, only minor drawbacks.
