These sneakers shocked me with the tongue attached to the sole of the shoe. The rubber band, like the tongue, wasn't uncomfortable, but it was unexpected. But the more I wear them, the more I like them. They are light but well built. I usually wear a size 12 and they fit perfectly as there is a small gap between the toes and the bottom of the shoe. And the width is good so it doesn't rub on your toes. I bought the white which has a tan or cream color on the heel and around the eyes. They are ideal for walking or jogging.
