I can't believe all the good reviews about these meteor shower lights. I ordered 6 boxes of 30cm blue lights. When opening the first box and plugging it in, 2 of the 8 light strips didn't work. The light smelled of burnt electricity. Upon further investigation, I found that the two faulty light strips had wires that weren't even soldered to the circuit board. Some other boards had cold solder joints or too little solder. The circuit boards were soldered by hand. There was still flux around the soldering points because the soldering points were not cleaned and checked after soldering. I opened the second box and inspected the solder joints. The second box contained at least one light tube with no wires soldered to the board and additional tubes with horrible solder joints as described above. These lights are trash and they're coming back. There should be higher quality lamps for a similar price. Reasons NOT to buy these bulbs: 1) Poor soldering 2) Wire between bulbs not very strong "looks like cheap speaker wire" 3) Plastic caps where wires enter tubes were inconsistent. Many of them weren't directly bonded, which allowed moisture to seep into the circuit boards. 4) Generally cheaply made with no quality control. Do yourself a favor and pass the headlights. I hope the manufacturer will do a little quality control and come out with a better product in the future. Made in China!
