I watched all the videos and then after shampooing and conditioner I twisted my hair in the shower. He pulled up the top layer and rotated the bottom layer in his head. Then I did the above. I applied leave in afterwards, smoothed it gently and then flattened it out. It makes your hair frizzier. The hair got quite frizzy after drying, more than usual. However I missed spots the first 2 times and that was a problem as the rest of the head was curlier. There's really no way to fix this. My whole head was frizzy on the third try. I wash every 3 days. I kept twirling and tidying up after walking around once to make sure everything was on. My problem is that it's not good for one night. I have short hair and sleep with it in a buff that holds the curls. But such styling is not well preserved everywhere. Again, I curled one side and not the other. So I will only use it for one special occasion a day. It looks great on day one when you need it in the evening, but it's too cumbersome for every day and doesn't hold up with short thin wavy hair.
