Review on CheckOutStore (100) Standard Single 1-Disc CD Jewel Cases (White) by Mark Gilbert

I bought these because they had the best overall rating of interchangeable jewelry boxes. In general I am very happy with them. They all surprisingly arrived intact (25 in total) but they were simply stacked on top of each other, sealed and placed in a heavy paper/thin cardboard box (by no means sturdy and no bubble wrap as some reviewers have mentioned). ) So I guess I just got lucky. The hulls themselves were also in good condition, not just intact. No significant scratches despite everything folded without individual packaging. Like all jewel cases I have purchased, they are not as heavy and rigid as the original jewel cases that you received with the CD purchase. However, it is not too thin either. I measured the weight using a USPS-approved scale (in 0.1-ounce increments) and two jewel cases with a black plastic shell and two with a clear shell (like these replacement parts) to compare them. This replacement jewelry box weighed 2.1 ounces. The two clear tray boxes were 2.3 and 2.7 ounces and the two with black trays were 2.2 and 3.0 ounces. I will say that all four original jewel cases, even at 2.2 and 2.3 ounces, were stiffer (curved less) than the replacement case. Of course, there's a big weight difference, and with a small sample size, it's difficult to draw definitive conclusions, but it's probably safe to say that these replacement cases are lighter and more flexible than the original cases. So I would recommend these as they are of relatively good quality and I received mine with no damage (again probably just luck given the minimal packaging from the company and Revain) although I would have preferred to pay more to have the cases for to get the same jewelry quality as those that originally contained CDs.
