Used to replace one of the A/C fan motors in the Jaguar XJ6 Series 1. It has the correct shaft diameter (1/4 inch) but the machined flat surface is not deep enough to accommodate the original cage fan which needs to be reused as nobody seems to make a 5 inch cage in the world. Either the squirrel cage fan opening needs to be modified or the shaft needs some sharpening to make it work. I machined .030 from the plane because I didn't want to risk damaging a 50 year old nylon fan. After that and some creative bracketing to fit it into the original flange, it worked flawlessly. This engine seems a little noisy and underpowered, but it's light years better than the dying engine I'm replacing. If I had to do it again I would use the longer Four Seasons fan motor - 35431 - which is more expensive but has the same diameter, only longer. I suspect it could be stronger as longer probably means a bigger armature and longer magnets so it could be stronger. However, it's impossible to know since the Four Seasons catalog doesn't say anything just about rev size.
