Yarn slips every time.
This point is really good in theory, but it has a fatal flaw that cannot be overcome. The sides are so slippery that when you roll the yarn over the marked spot, it keeps slipping off. I want the design to have a small piece of plastic protruding from the top of each wrapping area to hold the yarn in place. I can try applying a very thin layer of hot glue around the edges and see if that keeps the thread from slipping off - otherwise this tool is totally useless.
