Review on πŸ”’ Efficient Cable Management: Twist Lock Grommet in White for Tidier and Neater Spaces by Calvin Chavva

A quality solution for unaesthetic wires!

Great product! This is the most beautiful and functional household item I have ever bought! I hate cables hanging from an expensive flat screen tv, it looks sloppy and fishy! I bought 2 of these, one for the top and one for the bottom, they are not sold in pairs. Installation was easy, but I want to share my experience with you so I can help you avoid some of the things that could make my project fail. You don't have to push the drill as hard as you think, let the saw do all the work because there could be wires in that wall that could be cut by the drill! Place the hole at least 4 inches from the stud. Remember that the cables in the wall are usually attached to the rack, so leave room for them. The bottom opening should be at least 4 inches from the actual outlet in the wall, sometimes the wires run horizontally through the wall. There may be a spacer in the middle of your two posts that you poke holes in. You can use the post finder to determine if it is there before drilling any holes in the wall. If they are, you can't run wires through them. That. I was lucky that my apartment was cheaply built and had no struts because I hadn't considered the possibility of a strut between the struts. When inserting the grommets into the hole, only insert the back circle of the grommet into the drywall circle, in other words, don't fully insert it into the wall. How will you tighten them? If you just insert the outer circle that screws onto the bushing into the actual hole in the drywall, you can hold it while you twist the inner bushing to tighten it. Finally, if you have an old hanger to run wires into each hole as a guide, start with the hole you want. Pass the wires through before attaching the grommets to make it easier and less complicated. I hope my stupidity and my solutions will save you time and nerves because the end result is really nice to look at!
