🔧 General Tools 1261 4-2 Inch Grommet: Enhanced SEO-friendly Product Title Review

They claim 'brass' several times and 'solid brass' once and they are steel with a thin brass finish. After a very little rain they started to rust. I have two 1/2 inch installation tools and neither fit properly.

Not much to say about the eyelets other than that they are well made and quite thick. I use them to hang reflective fabric in my indoor grow space for easy removal when not in use. Works perfectly.

They work pretty well, but I'm having a hard time making them look like a stamp used with a machine. I hammer by hand with a hammer and it's not easy to get a uniform look. However, they work if you're not picky about giving them the perfect look.

Competing products that are slightly cheaper disappointed. Back to GENERAL TOOLS product. Paid a little more but worth the price and more. I have used the product with burlap fabric and it has worked exceptionally well. Strong fixation, easy installation and beautiful result. Exceptionally high price / quality.

I have a set of Lord & Hodge 1/2" bushings and I got these bushings as a replacement. The set was really old - maybe 30 years old and had some original bushings with it. These are from The Revain Shine to be an identical replacement. The new packaging said 'Rust Proof'. I think the idea is that they are brass plated steel. Couldn't have done better if the price wasn't lower. :-) Me I've seen other cheaper ones (?) here at Revain, but I've also seen people complain about the quality.

Good for the price but performs better on thicker stock. Like other customers, they recommended using the router slowly and hammering the bushings with a General Tools bushing set. When fitting these grommets to a polyester lampshade, the grommets were cut, but reinforced packing tape was 'installed' on both sides and the tool cut the perfect hole. The tape worked very well. Decided to sell used equipment on Craigslist. There were some old leaves that could be used as a background for photos.
