Decided to sell used equipment on Craigslist. There were some old leaves that could be used as a background for photos. Got a set of 1/2" General Tools 1260-4 solid brass flat washers to create a more durable and versatile way of hanging sheets (available locally). I reinforced the edge of each sheet with a strong iron stabilizer (cloth shop), cut holes in the leaves with Exacto and used a mandrel and anvil to install the grommets. Went like clockwork. Once confident that the technique and product would work I purchased them to finish the job. All 4 packs had 24 bases and 24 washers. Washers tend to fit into each other ('nest', 'stack' or 'spoon') - hence the package appeared to be short pieces at first glance. I counted again - everything is there, they aren't heavy and I wouldn't expect them to withstand a serious canvas or similar, they probably won't get a lot of moisture or prolonged exposure to water either withstand g (like a tarpaulin). But for my purposes they were great. Couldn't ask for more.
