So far everything is working well on this gauge but time will tell durability. Although it seems to be built quite well. The only reason I put a stop to that is because the kit doesn't come with instructions and the installation doesn't speak for itself. You must hold the button down while turning on the ignition/key to enter the menu system. It will say P0000 to change to P6610 - with short presses to set numeric values and long presses to change the number you are on - as a kind of password to enter settings. The first setting is a front wheel speed of 60 km/h - for a 120/90 R17 tire it should be around 530. The next setting is km/h or mph - 1001 - km/h, 1002 - mph. Then the number of cylinders is 2002 by 2, 2004 by 4 (I think this may be per ignition coil as my bike has 4 cylinders, but 2 ignition coils, and "2002" gives a more accurate value for me). Then there is a setting for the fuel gauges which I don't quite understand but I left it as is and it seems to be working so far. I was able to use a standard speedo cable and connect the wires to the original's existing terminals. hurry So far this seems like a great addition to my Katana Street Fighter build. The only thing I would wish for is a neutral position indicator and maybe a turn signal indicator.
