They were recommended to me by a reputable bead master. I'm a beginner and the big eye helped me a lot. However, the large eyelet sometimes makes the beading thread slip out, which is annoying. The needles are very thin and probably intended for beadwork, less complicated than mine - for sewing beads on embroidered silk. The needles bent easily in the thicker part of the fabric, making it difficult to pull through. However, I think anyone who enjoys beading would love to have these needles for most sewing projects. Especially since I don't need a giant magnifying glass for threading.
