This is on JKU 2016, generally fits like OEM. The drain plug sits in a tricky spot just above the exhaust. The screw is a 5mm allen key. In tight spaces it can be difficult to apply enough torque to tighten properly. After the initial leak, I used the 3/8" pipe as an "extension" to get more leverage. This stopped the leak. You can use a "shortened" (hacksaw) hex wrench to turn it to put on the exhaust. Should make the oil cleaner. Remove the pan/filter next time. or if you just want to drain and refill a drain plug will help. Maybe the bolt would be better if it was a regular wrench bolt, it could be get better grip and less torque and of course it would be better if the screw was somewhere else and not above the exhaust pipe but this gearbox is used on several other cars with different exhaust systems which may not have this problem.
