Great replacement for a 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona with a drain plug.

Seems to work fine for my 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona. Not sure why they don't include a drain plug in the factory drain pan, but this along with the separately recommended filter and gasket worked fine. Watch videos on YouTube for torque specs etc.

Do not buy - Leaking drain plug

The pan fits great and has a drain plug. The problem with this product is that the drain plug is leaking. When you try to tighten it, the hex head comes loose easily, making removal/tightening difficult. Another hex flange head plug would give this item a 5 star rating. The drain plug has a pitch of M10 x 1.0. After calling several parts suppliers and even the manufacturer Dorman, finding a replacement spark plug is almost impossible. Just buy a factory drain pan and if you need a drain plug…

High-quality frying pan, but design flaws

High-quality frying pan. The pad fits perfectly. However, two design flaws render this product unusable: 1) The drain plug will leak no matter how tight it is. Gasket (metal copper is not suitable for this application). 2) The drain plug is located above the exhaust pipe. There is not enough clearance between the drain plug and the exhaust pipe to loosen the bolt. So, to let off the tyranny, you must first remove the exhaust pipe (not desirable as the bolts are not that easy to unscrew). If…

Drain plug is junk

The sump itself seems low enough, but the stupid hex head drain plug started loosening the first time I used it to drain fluid. Luckily I seem to have screwed it on tight enough that it doesn't leak, but I don't dare use it again. Also when I drained the liquid with it I had the car on the ramp and was very disappointed that very little liquid came out. Maybe half a gallon. I can get as much or more liquid with a cheap hand vacuum pump attached to a hose through the fill tube, which I've only…

Drain plug leaking like crazy

Purchased for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler solely for the convenience of a drain plug. The drain plug is in a location that is difficult to access for maintenance. It's not easy to get, but with a little effort, you can access it. Build quality is good, but the drain plug leaks like there's no tomorrow. I read the reviews before buying and thought this was an isolated case, I even tightened the plug before installing and filling the pan as a precaution. off the pan and had to go to work for a week. I…

Fits but the drain plug is in a tricky spot (on JKU)

This is on JKU 2016, generally fits like OEM. The drain plug sits in a tricky spot just above the exhaust. The screw is a 5mm allen key. In tight spaces it can be difficult to apply enough torque to tighten properly. After the initial leak, I used the 3/8" pipe as an "extension" to get more leverage. This stopped the leak. You can use a "shortened" (hacksaw) hex wrench to turn it to put on the exhaust. Should make the oil cleaner. Remove the pan/filter next time. or if you just want to drain…
