Not only do these goggles look great, they offer the thermal insulation described. I've used them for both cold and hot drinks. I had friends who stopped by for a week and one of the jars was left on ice overnight. The next morning, a good 10 hours later, the ice was still completely intact. Also nice is that the double wall prevents condensation from forming where the glass was left. I also used it for coffee. While I can't say how long it would stay hot as I drank my coffee fairly quickly, it stayed very hot the entire time I used it. It's nice that the glass felt cool to the touch even though the coffee inside was very hot. Other nice features are the well-fitting lid and the sliding closure of the drinking spout that works well. My guests liked them so much that I will buy them a birthday present!
