TL;DR GREAT SOUND FOR THE PRICE (pros) High and low detail. They can produce insanely low frequencies. Con) Port Pant at maximum volume. First, let me say that I don't consider myself an audiophile. Personally, I believe that when playing in, mechanical parts can come loose and sometimes change the sound. I haven't had them long enough to break them in properly, but first impressions are amazing. The packaging wasn't fancy, but they came with rubber feet. Just like rb42, they hit insanely low. The crossover delivers an insane amount of detail, and I'm not even using a relatively clean amp. I used to have a pair of Martin Logan Motion 4's and bought them to replace and let me tell you they outperform the Martin Logan remarkably well in most categories other than high-end. Office is probably simply a better technology compared to Softdome. That being said, the rb42-c has plenty of high frequencies and never got shrill, even at deafening volumes. All in all an amazing speaker to rival those far from its class. The only problem is that they are out of stock, they might just be sold out!
