This product is perfect for my needs. I don't usually take my phone to the beach because I'm too careful with water and sand. I know the iPhone is waterproof, but I still put the phone in a case and went to the beach. I was able to operate the phone's touchscreen through the plastic. It certainly wasn't the same as without the cover, but very functional. I read and answered text messages, read the messages and used the camera. I've attached three photos I took in a suitcase on the beach. I was happy with the results compared to not having a camera with me. I'm not sure I'd trust my phone underwater (or really, really). I was looking for protection from sand and water and for that purpose this case served the purpose perfectly. The only minor issue I found was that the phone doesn't come out very easily. It tends to stick to plastic. You need to apply something thin to break the soft adhesion to the plastic. It can either be my phone's silicone case (which I left behind) or maybe my screen protector's material. It just made it harder to take the phone out of the case than it was to put it in the case.
