This is a great traditional pot that can be used for a single serving of bibimbap dolsot, soups, stews or to cook plain rice. However, reading some of the other reviews here, there is misinformation on how to use and care for them properly. This is a traditional clay pot. You can't treat it like a modern nonstick pan. Cook on low to medium heat. Avoid sudden changes in temperature as this can cause cracking. Start with a very low flame and increase it once the pan is hot. Do not use hard scouring pads for cleaning. Use a soft sponge or washcloth. It is also advisable to avoid using detergents as they will wear down the glaze. Traditionally, these pots were cleaned with rice water or flour. Baking soda is fine too. Remember, be gentle! If it burns, follow the instructions that came with it: soak it in baking soda and vinegar overnight, then gently rub it with a sponge. With proper care, it will last a lifetime. And NO dishwasher!
