I bought this iron to replace the exact same one I had and have been using for more than 10 years. I had an old model from Gold Hot Tools and used it as a hairdresser for a few years, then used it at home for personal use. In fact, she's still working. Fail. I ordered this new model in pink and it arrived a few days ago. I opened it up and took it out of the box and I was so blown away by the amazing improvements they've made to the style. They have kept everything I love about this iron and made the best parts that I didn't even know could be better. This is such an excellent quality instrument. You won't be disappointed and probably won't need another straightener for many, many years. I LOVE my Pink Hot Tools 1 1/4" Curler!
