Review on Yukon Gear YP MINSD44 30 Differential by Quintin Gore

Perfect fit for my Cherokee 87 Trail Rig with 44 reverse and 3.54 gears from the factory. I took advice from super reliable internet forums and decided to ditch my old Lincoln locker and buy this one instead. Installation on my D44 was simple and easy, just make sure you have a 3/16" punch with a long enough shank to slip into the cross pin tube. I did NOT have a hitch long enough so I went to Home Depot and bought a 4 foot piece of 3/16" diameter steel rod and cut it to a longer length so it would reach the cross pin hole. The spider gears fell out easily and the mini spool went in with no problem. NOTE: This is not the shiny gold color shown in the picture. It's black. Don't bother me as I'll probably never see it again. It's already survived one ride on the bike and completely changed my traction game. Huge improvement over my standard open back. I use a factory 4.0 liter motor with an automatic transmission on 33" boggers. I would recommend it to anyone with a similar drivetrain, but probably not tires over 35". And don't drive it on the road unless you're happy to pay for tires.
