I used to order from fmix - I have a set of music strobe lights for my daughter's room and a set of solar panels similar to these. They are very similar to these and I can attest that these sets are very reliable and durable. I use my camping solar kit and wanted to be able to plug it in. These flashlights are bright enough to be very useful but not intrusive. After connecting, it takes 4-5 seconds, the manufacturer has confirmed that this is normal. They're not dimmable, but they don't have to be. As already mentioned, the build quality is excellent. I was hoping to daisy chain the solar array and this kit - the connectors are the same design and they snap together, but they cannot be daisy chained. The manufacturer has confirmed that this kit runs on 12V from a 110V adapter while the solar kit runs on 5V from a solar charger. No fault of the manufacturer, just note the voltage difference if you have both. As this set is 12V, a 12V car or van adapter is ideal for camping (tip :)).
