I've waited months to write this so I can speak somewhat of its durability. So far this has worked great. I made sure to use a high quality, high speed SD card. There are no problems. It seems to be made of quality material (which surprised me a bit). Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it performs and handles the heat (I live in Florida). If you are looking for a rearview mirror dash cam, this is the way to go. I thought it was cheap chinese junk but it's solid. If I had any complaints it would be the quality of the camera which could be better but is on par with other dash cams. You won't burn license plates unless you hit someone from behind lol.
