$200 Vacuum Cleaner Quick Fix

Was an expensive 5-year-old handheld vacuum cleaner that we tend to break from time to time. I considered throwing it away and buying it back (as is customary in America), but instead I'm glad I took a look at the device to diagnose it. After the process of elimination, I determined that the cause of the problem was a small thermal fuse (it had no continuity at room temperature) that was supposed to protect the battery charge cycle from overheating. It was rated at 110C, but I couldn't find a direct replacement in a form factor suitable for the device. Went with them and they're still working great over a year later. The best news is I have 9 more of these in case one breaks down and is easy to fix.

Pros
  • Widely used in power supplies, power switches, computers, telephones, home appliances, communications, all kinds of appliances, electronic and electrical components, motors and all kinds of small home appliances, such as irons, thermoelectric fans, microwave ovens, refrigerators, etc. as heat protection, etc.
Cons
  • I will add later
